I am now running on Ubuntu Linux! Finally! Say goodbye to THE OPPRESSOR!!!
Originally, as I might have mentioned before, I installed Wimpdows XP on my new computer. However, I kept getting a “kernel panic” whenever I tried to load any type of Linux kernel, and I tried multiple types of Linux. Last night, thanks to Google, and Ubuntu Forums, I solved the problem. It was a problem with my hybrid motherboard. All I had to do was enter
–boot:linux pci=nosort
At the end of the boot line, and it was fixed! I used that to boot the Linux Ubuntu Live DVD that we have, and install it. I am now running it with the graphical effects turned on past maximum, I installed more Compiz features, and customized them. I will install either Beryl, or Compiz Fusion, soon. I have not found a good DVD player yet, because free ones are hard to find, and the two sound cards are confusing the heck out of Ubuntu, and me, as they both have a lot of ports. Therefore, I have not gotten the sound working yet. Other than that, everything works fine! Well, right now, at least. I have a terrible headache and cannot think well, and so every time I mess with something, I mess something else up.

Yesterday night, my blog had 68 hits. It now says 100! They must not update that very often. Or I am going to be the next Mark Zuckerberg! (Or Steve Jobs, for those of you who do not read much Tech/Business news)
Today, contrary to popular opinion, is NOT easter. It is Resurrection Sunday. It is the day that we celebrate Jesus’s death on the cross for our sins. I was reading articles on the internet about Easter, and found something rather… interesting. You want to know where the rabbit originated from? Not because it was cute, not because it is fluffy, and not because the pagans needed a holiday to celebrate on the same day as easter so that they would not be left out. The rabbit is the sign of sexual fertility. Easter was created to honor the “Mother Goddess”, whose son (Ba’al, or Molech, a pagan “god.”) was supposedly killed by a wild boar, and then reincarnated in the springtime. The egg also symbolizes the “Mother Goddess,” who was supposedly born in a huge egg that came down the Euphrates River, in Egypt.
So, before you go celebrating Easter with cute bunnies, and colored eggs, remember what they are representing.
Jesus died for your sins today, to save you from eternal torture in Hell, and you owe Him your life.
Just a reminder.
*Correction: It was actually we who chose the day as Easter, not them. Easter came first.*
I’m sorry, I could not save this until Monday! I am downloading a free Christian Music album that I found on the Free Christian Music blog (link and RSS feed on side bar), and the download speed kept showing as 666MB/sec!(fast internet, I know). Coincidence? I think not… Hmmm… Maybe this is not such a good album after all…
haha, just kidding, I am about to listen to it, and see how it sounds.
A couple of blog-template-related notes:
On the other pages, the latest comments are at the bottom, I cannot change that. I will try to delete posts that no longer apply, though, to make it easier.
If you cannot see either the one side panel on the left, or the two side panels on the right, please make sure you do NOT have anything on the side of your browser, such as Bookmarks, or History. you can close these to see the rest of the page, and they can be re-enabled by pressing ctr+b, and ctr+h, or whatever your’s are set to, if you have changed the hotkeys.
I have officially decided, as of right now, I will be incorporating monthly articles titled “The Monthly Open-Source” and the “Monthly Microstink.” I do not know when during the month they will be published, yet, I will keep you updated. I am sorry I have not posted much this week, I have been really busy with my new computer, and today we helped someone from church move. Oh, speaking of which, here are the revised specs of the new computer, the ones posted in the other article were incorrect. improvements are in bold, and downgrades are in italics.
MSI 915G Combo motherboard.
Pentium 4, 3.2GHZ processor.
128MB PCI-e x16 Graphics card with VGA/HDMI/S-VIDEO outputs
512MB DDR2 RAM (did have a 512MB DDR RAM, but I bought a DDR2, thinking the old one was, too, and they were not compatible, so I took out the DDR, and put in the DDR2, and I will buy another 512MB DDR2.)
3 Fans(a lot less noise) (Took two out, cleaned the processor cooling unit, and left the two best fans in the case, taking out the two old ones. Video card has no fan, it died a while ago.)
4USB 2.0 slots (as compared to 6. the two front ones did not work, hardware was damaged, causing a power surge. may replace in future.)
16x(I think) DVD drive, which Wimpdows is having problems recognizing.
Floppy Drive (woo… hoo…)
integrated Gigabit Ethernet (still needs driver, using PCI card from old computer, works really good.)
Integrated 5.1 channel audio. Also needs driver, using PCI sound card I found in garage, works good.
I am going to name it Vicky. That is short for Invictus, which means “unconquerable” in… Latin?
I will not be posting as many posts in the next few days, because I got my new computer, and I am currently working on it. I need to install Linux on it, which is not working well, I already got the video card, and sound card working, I need to do a little more work on the DVD player, and download some new programs. So… see ya in a little while!
This is the very first issue of the Weekly Funnies, as promised, The Weekly Funny will be a collection of all of my favorite quotes/short stories that I have heard/seen over the previous week, and it will be published.

According to an article on Cnet.com, China has come out with this top-secret bomber that is capable of holding multiple nukes, along with other ordinance, as well. In this article, they went on to explain, that it should come out in 2010, be better than US bombers, and travel at Mach 1.2. Wow, huh? Well… Wow is certainly the word. As in “wow, how could someone like Cnet be fooled by such a CHEAP PHOTOSHOP such as that?!!??!!???!!!???” I mean, on both Cnet.com, and Youtube.com, where they got the movie, NOBODY fails to realize that it is a photoshop job, and a pretty poor one sometimes, at that. Go watch it, laugh, and send Cnet some E-mails. But… be… nice…

Mom, Annmarie, Anna, and I had lunch at Sams while we were shopping for groceries, today. We each got a peice of pizza, and a large soda. Annmarie had taken her’s and Mom’s cup to go put soda in it. She filled Mom’s up, and, while trying to fill hers up, she knocked Mom’s over. Rather embarrassed, we cleaned it up, and went on eating. Annmarie went to go to the bathroom, Mom filled her cup again, and we sat down to eat. Mom tried to grap her pizza, and instead knocked the soda over again! This time, all over the pizza, and the floor. Needless to say, we all cracked up hysterically, and cleaned it up. We were just finishing cleaning it up by the time Annmarie got back. We joked that Mom’s cup was evil, and that she should get a new one. Then, after we had all eaten, Mom decided that she wanted more pizza. She came back with her new slice, sat down, and dropped it straight on the floor! Never picking it up, everyone, including the people nearby who had seen the spills, cracked up hysterically, and wouldn’t stop for about 5 minutes! Plus, not only that, it fell on the EXACT spot where she had just spilled her soda.
A few days ago, I was sitting on the couch, just doing my school, and Tessa was on the opposite side, doing hers, and Tucker, our young Border Collie, was in between us, almost asleep on the couch, and Charlie, our Black Lab, was sitting upright on the floor, next to Tucker. Tucker had been at his usual funny antics all day, cracking us up, and we were finally glad that he was resting. All of a sudden, out of the corner of my eye, I saw, tucker, almost asleep, suddenly lash out with his foot, kick Charlie in the face, and draw his leg back to it’s former position, faster than anyone could blink. I looked over at him, and he gave me this ridiculously funny-looking, sweet, innocent face. Tessa and I immediately started to crack up, and we laughed hysterically for about 5 minutes. Charlie, rather perturbed, turned around, and left the room. Tucker on the other hand, seeing us laughing, got up, happy at the attention, came up, and started licking us in the face.

Carter: “You’re a Jerk!”
McKay: “I don’t know why I find you so attractive. I don’t know, I’ve just always had this attraction to dumb blondes…”
Carter: “Go suck on a lemon!!!” (McKay is mortally allergic to citrus)
McKay: *chuckles* “oh, yes… very sexy. Very, very sexy.”
Carter: Leaves, slams door.

(Non Sequiter, newspaper comic)
Girl: “Hey, Tom, could you send me back in time about two days, I failed a test, and I thought I would go back, and actually study for it this time”
Tom: “Shouldn’t you just learn from the lesson, and not do the same thing next time?”
Girl: “Well… I don’t know. It just seems that messing with the timeline would be easier…”
